Moshe Safdie To Design Iconic Bengaluru Project

Moshe Safdie is an architect, urban designer, educator, theorist, and author. He is recognized the world over for his iconic architecture that infuses dramatic curves, geometric patterns and ensures the key placement of open and green spaces. Having worked on landmark projects around the world, including the recently completed Khalsa Heritage Museum in Punjab, this iconic designer is set to make his mark in Bengaluru with a residential development for Tata Housing.Tata Housing Development Company Ltd., one of India’s leading real estate companies, recently announced the launch of ‘The Promont’ – a luxurious gated community of terraced hillside residences on Bengaluru’ s exclusive hill at Banashankari, South Bengaluru. Built on a unique outcrop, or promontory, The Promont is an essay in height and grandeur. Based on the concept of The Hanging Gardens of Babylon cascading down a hill, it will offer four majestic apartment towers in its first phase.
The Promont is Moshe Safdie’s first residential development in India. Moshe Safdie is a visionary and known to create some of the most enchanting landmarks in the world, like his most recent creation – the Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore.Sprawling across 14 acres on a hillock which overlooks the surrounding neighborhood and the city views below, the architect now plans to re-create his magic for The Promont. The planned residences of this development are sculpted within the hills, resulting in an extraordinary visibility of the entire project and a 360 degree view of the city and surrounding hills. The Promont will offer elegantly designed residences with double-height cantilevered terraces and landscaped gardens with a variety of state-of-the-art amenities that will speak of excellence in functionality and aesthetics.
